Caroline has over 25 years of extensive cross-border and international experience as a finance lawyer working for private and public companies, trusts, funds, and quasi-governmental and government entities in many different industries and geographies.


Caroline founded CML Consultants in 2018 and has worked with private debt and real estate managers, responsible for the legal set up of funds in both Ireland and Luxembourg.



Caroline was formerly a partner at Baker McKenzie and worked in their Sydney, London, Bahrain and Dubai offices.  She also worked for BNP Paribas in Paris as a secondee in 2005.


Caroline holds a combined Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Law degree (B.Comm / LLB), is on the Roll of the Supreme Court of New South Wales (Australia), holds a current practising certificate issued by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (UK), and is a Member of the New York State Bar Association (USA).


Caroline was named a “Leading Lawyer” by IFLR 1000 in Bahrain in 2014, 2015 and 2016, and also in Qatar in 2015 and 2016.

David has over 15 years’ experience as a finance lawyer working in private practice and in-house.  David was admitted to practise in New South Wales (Australia) in 1997 and England & Wales (UK) in 2001.



David was VP Legal at Arab Banking Corporation (Bahrain) from 2007 to 2013, a Senior Associate at SJ Berwin (London) from 2004 to 2007, and an Assistant Solicitor at Macfarlanes (London) from 2001 to 2003.


David spent time on secondment at Delancey Real Estate Asset Management Limited (London) in 2005 and at The Royal Bank of Scotland plc (London) in 2006.


David holds a combined Bachelor of Business (Accounting) / Bachelor of Law degree from the University of New England / Southern Cross University (Australia).  He started his career at Baker McKenzie in Sydney in 1997.
