Norden Farm Centre for the Arts in Maidenhead offers a wide range of high quality artistic events and participatory opportunities for all interests in the community and to support both professional and community artists. The Norden Farm staff team developed a leading-edge, three-year, project benefitting isolated older people in Maidenhead and surrounding areas: SocialArts, obtaining funding from The Rothschild Foundation.
What we did:
CML Consultants are providing the external evaluation of the three year, SocialArts project. So far, this has involved visiting the project to meet the staff and beneficiaries, setting up the overall monitoring and evaluation framework and creating some interactive outcome measurement tools to use with the participants, as well as entry and exit questionnaires to capture key data. Very positive and interesting results around the increased confidence and reduced social isolation of beneficiaries are already evident after the delivery only five taster sessions.
CML Consultants will be producing six-monthly progress reports throughout the project. We are looking forward to producing a ‘Road Map’ at the end of the project – to be used by other arts organisations wishing to run similar projects in the future; and to presenting the project’s achievements at a symposium to be hosted by The Rothschild Foundation in 2019.
“This group has been a life-saver. I really look forward to Mondays now.“Beneficiary, Norden Farm Centre for the Arts
